I love horses. I have only ridden on one a couple of times. I was always nervous. One of the blessings we have here in Carson City is our wild horses. They frequently come near my home and have been in my brother’s back and front yard. They are amazingly beautiful. I always get excited when I see them. I made this card with them in mind.
Instructions:
Cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and score at 4 ¼”.
Cut a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock at 5 ¼” x 4” and attach to the card base.
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 5” x 3 ¾”.
Using the 2 ¼” punch cut out a circle.
On the Whisper White cardstock sponge the top 3rd with Balmy Blue classic ink and sponge the rest with Pear Pizzazz classic ink and attach to the Balmy Blue piece.
Using the Let it Ride stamp set and Soft Suede classic ink stamp the image with the two horses (I stamped twice in two different areas of the cardstock) and stamp “Go for it” in the top right corner or the bottom left corner.
On a piece of watercolor paper, stamp the image of the horse head from the Let It Ride stamp set, and using Soft Suede classic ink and watercolor the image using an aqua painter and Soft Suede classic ink. You might also use Crumb Cake classic ink if you want. Either way, make sure the
watercolor is very light. When dry, sponge around the head using Balmy Blue classic ink. Punch out the horse head using the 2” punch.
Using a piece of 5” burlap ribbon fold in half and glue to the card base using Snail adhesive or Tear-n-tape (trying not to cover all the stamped horses.
Attach the horse head to the Crumb Cake circle then attach over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Use Wink of Stella on the horse head to make it sparkle!!
Inside: stamp the running horse using Soft Suede classic ink. All Done!!
